Miut\u00e1n Greifswaldban \u00e9s Halle\/Saale-ban m\u0171szaki szakmunk\u00e1sk\u00e9pz\u00e9sen vett r\u00e9szt, jogi tanulm\u00e1nyokat kezdett a J\u00e9nai Friedrich-Schiller Egyetemen. 1986-ban fejezte be tanulm\u00e1nyait, majd 1990-ben szerzett doktori fokozatot egy, a kelet-eur\u00f3pai k\u00f6z\u00f6s v\u00e1llalkoz\u00e1sok ad\u00f3ztat\u00e1s\u00e1r\u00f3l sz\u00f3l\u00f3 disszert\u00e1ci\u00f3val. 1992-ben Prof. Dr. Peter Hommelhoff asszisztensek\u00e9nt csatlakozott a Heidelbergi N\u00e9met \u00e9s Eur\u00f3pai T\u00e1rsas\u00e1gi Jogi Int\u00e9zethez. 2001-ben a heidelbergi Ruprecht-Karls Egyetem Jogi Kar\u00e1n habilit\u00e1lt egy, a t\u00e1rsas\u00e1gi szuverenit\u00e1sr\u00f3l \u00e9s a kereskedelmi t\u00e1rsas\u00e1gok bels\u0151 szervezet\u00e9r\u0151l sz\u00f3l\u00f3 habilit\u00e1ci\u00f3s \u00e9rtekez\u00e9ssel, \u00e9s megkapta a venia legendi jogosults\u00e1got a polg\u00e1ri jog, kereskedelmi \u00e9s t\u00e1rsas\u00e1gi jog, valamint a modernkori mag\u00e1njog t\u00f6rt\u00e9nete t\u00e1rgyakban.
