The European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA) is an alliance of ten higher education institutions from eight European countries. Its aim is to foster international cooperation that contributes to the development of engineering education and leverages its strengths across Europe.


Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) is looking for a project coordinator to provide active and comprehensive support to the President of EELISA and to contribute to the coordination of international projects and processes related to the EELISA programme.
The position offers a diverse range of responsibilities and a high degree of autonomy. Your day-today work will include executive support, project coordination, international liaison, student coordination and accreditation-related tasks. You will work closely with international university partners, senior university leaders and colleagues across the University, requiring excellent organizational skills, diplomatic awareness, confident communication and a strong problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Executive and secretarial support to the EELISA President:

  • Providing effective and comprehensive support to the President in an international environment
  • Participating in project preparation and coordinating related processes
  • Organizing management meetings and appointments
  • Preparing, drafting and editing documents related to the organization’s activities
  • Coordinating, monitoring and maintaining records of deadlines
  • Providing administrative support for the organization’s processes and handling documents and records
  • Carrying out other tasks assigned by the President
  • Maintaining contact with external partners in English and German, as well as with the organization’s internal colleagues


Responsibilities related to the EELISA programme:

  • Coordinating and supporting student- and faculty-related processes connected to the EELISA programme
  • Maintaining communication and cooperation with international university partners
  • Preparing and coordinating international accreditation processes


Requirements

  • Higher education degree
  • Fluent English and German, with strong negotiation-level communication skills
  • Confident user-level knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Several years of relevant experience in a similar field
  • Proactive attitude and a high level of reliability
  • Precise and thorough approach to work, critical thinking and decisiveness
  • Strong diplomatic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Flexible mindset and approach


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of an additional foreign language
  • Experience in international projects or in providing administrative support for such projects
  • Experience with EU-funded projects

Salary Information: compensation will be determined on an individual basis, taking into
consideration the candidate’s qualifications, professional experience and the responsibilities associated with the position.
